Somali Youth Support Project
The Somali Youth Support Project offers training and leadership
opportunities for Somali youth ages 12-24. SYSP also offers many
ways for Somali youth to get active in their community, including an
advocacy team and volunteer opportunities. Call about joining of if

This clinic offers medical services to students attending Woodroffe

Homework Clubs
PQCHC Homework Clubs run in several communities and are open to
students in grades 3-12. Volunteer tutors are available to assist.

United Sisters
United Sisters is a weekly program for girls ages 10-15. Runs
weeknights in 6 communities. Activities include: workshops,
discussions, sports, arts and crafts, games, dancing, cooking,
movies, and more! There are also special outings and opportunities

Youth Make It Happen
Youth Make It Happen is a community-based leadership program for all
youth ages 12-17. Runs weeknights in 5 communities. Activities are
decided by the group and may include: training, workshops,
advocacy, organizing events, fundraising, special outings,
employment help, recreation and more! New members always welcome!

Youth Retail Employment Program (YREP)
YREP is a paid employment program offered to youth aged 15-30 who
are out of school and facing barriers to employment. This
21-week-long program is an opportunity to develop skills and
experience working the retail industry. The program consists
of an 18-week work placement at a store at Bayshore or Carlingwood
Shopping Centre and 120 hours of training. The participants
work 30 hours per week and earn minimum wage while on placement and
in training sessions. This program is funded by the Government
of Canada. For

Youth Retail Work Experience (YRWE)
YRWE is an 8-week experience for youth aged 15-24 who are still in
school. Participants volunteer 6 hours per week for eight
weeks and receive 8 hours of employment-related training. This
program is funded by the United Way. For
