have fun with boxes while learning about inexpensive and simple ways

Baby Talk...
This workshop is targeted to parents
of young babies, birth to 12 months and is designed to help parents
recognize that babies communicate in many ways and for different
reasons. The workshop will help parents learn strategies to promote
speech and language development.

Fun with Words!
This parent awareness workshop provides general information about
speech and language development. Parents will also acquire ideas and
resources to help them stimulate and support normal speech and
language development at home. A description of the First Words
program and services will also be included as well as referral to
community resources and screening clinics.

In this interactive parent workshop, a First Words facilitator will
share practical knowledge on ways to promote language development
with toddlers and preschool children through books and
storytelling. In this make and take workshop, parents will create a
book to enjoy with their child.
