Adult Drop-In (PQ & You)
The PQ & You Adult Drop-In is a recreational program for adults
interested in meeting new people. The group focuses on learning new
things, sharing concerns, enjoying games and outings.
Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT)
ACT is comprised of a transdisciplinary team of health professionals
who provide client-centered individual treatment, support and rehabilitation to
people with severe and persistent mental illness. The team includes
a psychiatrist, nurses, and mental health workers. ACT provides a
wide range of comprehensive community-based services 24 hours a
day/365 days a year. This service is intended for people with the
highest intensity of need due to complex, long-term and serious
psychiatric issues. Access to ACT services is made through a central
registry. Referral forms and information regarding eligibility
requirements is available from the Referral Coordinator at
722-9731.
Case Management
Case
management provides support, services and referrals to new Canadians
with severe and persistent mental illness. For intake and referral

Services Ottawa
Family Services Ottawa offers a range of counselling services
designed to fit the client's difficulty and needs. These services
will be offered to a person individually, to a couple together, or
to a family in part or in its entirety, and might relate to a recent
crisis or to an ongoing unresolved problem.
Housing Support/Housing Loss Prevention Program
Individuals and families in the area worried about losing their
housing can get help. Speak with
a housing
support worker about housing related issues
such a paying the rent, paying hydro or heating bills, and
landlord/tenant issues. A Housing Support Worker also assists
families from the Carling Family Shelter find and maintain housing.
Through Contact Ottawa clients without a home phone can have access
to temporary voice mail. Intake/Counselling
Information,
support, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate services
for families/ individuals.
Walk-in services are available Monday through Friday from 12:30
until 3:30 p.m.
Mental Health Outreach
A Mental Health Outreach Worker provides general support for people
living in the community. Residents in the Pinecrest-Queensway
catchment area with severe and persistent long-term mental health
problems can use this service.
Violence Against Women Program
Free individual counselling and support for women who have
experienced abuse by an intimate partner. Women may choose to participate in support groups designed as safe
places to share experiences and work together to end violence and
other forms of abuse in their lives. Individual /group support is
also available for children who have witnessed woman abuse. This service is offered Monday
through Friday at Pinecrest-Queensway. Call for an appointment.
